Overview

This project brought Golden 1 creative into the live sports environment at Golden 1 Center, with motion work designed specifically for in-game and on-site display. The assets lived exclusively within the arena, playing across multiple screens during live games to create a cohesive brand presence in a fast-paced setting.

Challenge

In-arena motion requires a different level of precision than traditional digital placements. Multiple animations needed to play simultaneously across different screens, aligning perfectly in timing and pacing to create a unified visual moment. The challenge was to design motion that felt bold and impactful within a live sports environment while remaining clearly on brand and legible at scale.

approach & outcome

The creative focused on energetic, confident motion that could support the excitement of the game without distracting from it. I animated large-scale motion assets designed to be viewed from a distance, paying close attention to timing, synchronization, and visual clarity so the work played seamlessly across the space.
Color choices were intentional, leaning into yellow and black to avoid overlap with opposing team palettes and ensure the work remained distinct within the arena environment. The final execution integrated Golden 1’s brand naturally into the live game experience, reinforcing the importance of precision, environmental awareness, and craft when designing for real-world, large-scale applications.
